Getting Your Vehicle

So, you found the car of your dreams, and you are ready to ride. That’s great! The only step that’s left is to set up the delivery time. A Logistics Manager will speak with you about this, but the average time until delivery is 24 to 48 hours. This, of course, depends on your location.

If the vehicle you want is located within 150 miles, delivery is free. If it is outside the radius, then there will be a small delivery charge. 13th Generation Ford F-150

Making its debut in 2015, the 13th generation Ford F-150 is the result of decades of perfection. Still currently in production, this iconic generation has fused tradition with the future by incorporating Ford's reputation for reliability and strength with advanced technology. Let’s explore each year of this generation to gain a better understanding of what you will get when you purchase a model from this most recent production line. 2015 F-150

To begin, let’s look at the first engine lineup for the 13th generation models. The standard is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that can get up to 283 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. The first optional powertrain is a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 motor that generates 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque. Moving up, the next available engine is also turbocharged. This engine is also another 3.5-liter engine, but it is a twin-turbocharger V6. This engine gets up to 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. The final option is a massive 5.0-liter V8 that produces 385 hp and 387 lb-ft of torque. No matter which engine you choose, this particular lineup will come standard with a 6-speed automatic transmission and RWD. You may also opt for 4WD if you plan on taking the F-150 off-road.

Now, we can move on to the trim levels. It’s important to keep these details in mind when looking at the production years from the 13th generation because every model after 2015 builds off of these specs. The base trim is known as the XL, and it comes with vinyl flooring, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, and manual accessories. The entertainment system is displayed on a small 4.2-inch monitor that is standard for the production year.

Next, we have the XLT trim; this used Ford F-150 comes with more convenient features such as power accessories, automatic headlights, and keyless entry. The infotainment interface has also been upgraded to the voice-controlled Sync system, and enhanced Bluetooth and smartphone integration have been added. Available on this trim is the FX4 Off-Road package, which adds a sunroof, larger wheels, extended side mirrors for towing, inflated seat belts, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring.

At the middle level, we have the popular Lariat model. This one adds more luxurious features such as remote engine start, LED bed lighting, dual-zone climate control, and heated/cooled leather seats. The back window has power-sliding capabilities, and the MyFord Touch infotainment interface gets a larger 8-inch touchscreen upgrade.

At the top of the lineup are the King Ranch and Platinum models. These two have all of the aforementioned features plus a little something extra. If you like the cowboy style of the southwest, the King Ranch is one for you. If you prefer more of a sleek urban look, the Platinum model is a great choice.

The 2016 F-150

From this point on, only a few changes were made each year. For example, the 2016 models did away with the MyFord Touch infotainment interface and replaced it with Sync3. The 2017 F-150

The 2018 F-150

If you are looking for the mid-cycle refresh, the 2018 lineup is where you will find it. Not only did Ford release the SuperDuty series with a redesigned grille, but the company also added new engine options. The 2.7-liter V6 was added, and it produced 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. It included Start/Stop technology for better fuel efficiency. Also added to the selection was a PowerStroke diesel motor option.

The 2019 F-150

Next is the 5.3-liter V8 motor that produces 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. The third and final option is a 6.2-liter V8 engine that pushes out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission and RWD are standard with any of these powertrains, and 4WD is optional as well.

The base trim level is the Work Truck. The Work Truck has 2 sub-trims called 1WT and 2WT. The 1WT has vinyl upholstery, rubber floors, and a basic AM/FM s4-speaker stereo. The 2WT adds keyless entry, the MyLink infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, a CD player, and satellite radio.

Next is the LT model. This one adds cloth upholstery, carpeted floors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 6-speaker stereo. Stepping up to the LTZ added heated leather seats, an 8-inch touchscreen interface, remote start, and a rearview camera. Then, the High Country adds front and back parking sensors, a premium Bose stereo, and seats with heated/cooled settings.

If you want an off-roading model, the Z71 features shock absorbers, skid plates, recovery hooks, and other enhancements for better off-road adventures.

2015 Silverado

For 2015, the Silverado underwent several changes, including the addition of new trims. The Work Truck sub-trims were combined into one, and the LS model was added to the mix. The LS added a 4G LTE Wifi hotspot and voice-controlled capabilities. Also, the 6.2-liter V8 engine was mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission. If you opt for this model year of the used Chevy Silverado 1500, you will have a good one.

2016 - 2018 Silverado

In 2016, the truck got another facelift with upgraded features now, including a 7-inch touchscreen interface, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The optional Enhanced Driver Alert package includes lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and front/rear parking sensors.

The 2017 and 2018 Silverado models didn’t see any significant changes aside from a few special edition models that were released in limited numbers.
